I suppose that my work in cricket was also, in my opinion a hobby, but with my family and my work, hobbies was a
word I did not use, however I have many other interests that takes my mind away from the daily grind ...

Music has always been a great love, ever since childhood I have loved classical music. Sadly my family
does not share my passion, and I have to suffer whilst travelling in the car, the vagaries of Barry Manilow (Brenda), Rick
Astley (Rachael) and Scritti Politti and other toneless quarts (Richard).
My tastes vary from Good quality ballads from singers like Josef Locke, Barbra Streisand, Ray Charles et.al. I also enjoy many classical
pieces and given the choice my car radio would be fixed on Classic FM. Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Beethoven etc.
My latest birthday present an iphone allows me to stores eons of music on this that I can listen to at my leasure.

Sport Apart from the obvious "cricket" I have a great interest in many sports, rugby union being top of the
list with Bath and Havant my favourite teams. Richard and I attended over 1,000 union matches over a period of 15 years. I do like the version
called Rugby League and now support Salford Reds. Soccer (Football) is a passing interest, I obviously look out for Saints (Southampton FC) and coming from
the area I have always been a closet Manchester United fan. But watching a good match on TV is enough. In general
Olympics, both summer and winter and all sports except ones involving horses.

Computers I spend hours on my computer working on web sites, my local Jewish community mljc.org.uk and mainly
cricket ones, and it is my intention to learn more about web design and perhaps run a small business in that line.

Retirement - And so to retirement, at 65 it is time to retire, gracefully or not, and relax from the hum
drum of travelling up and down the country and staying in bland hotels. my armchair will be put to good use, both for relaxation (sleeping)
and attending to my hobbies, perhaps even reading some of the many books I have purchased or
been given over the years.
