April 24th, 1971 - Brenda Whitlock and Victor Isaacs were married in Southampton Registry Office. A chilly spring morning, we were spared rain. A week in Falmouth, Cornwall followed. And thus began a marriage that has to date survived 37 years. No relationship of this length can claim to have been 100% rosy, but the fact that we are still together is confirmation of a loving one.

After a couple of terms living in rented accommodation, we were by then living nine stories up in a Tower Block in Thornhill, Southampton.

August 26th, 2009 - Recently I celebrated my 65th birthday, I do not know whether to be pleased or sad at the oncoming of old age, it was however, a wonderful day with all my family around me and great presents.

November 4th, 1972 - Richard Victor Isaacs was born in Southampton General Hospital. By that time we had moved to Romsey.

Richard was a quiet baby, who grew to become a wonderful son, perhaps academically at school he wasen't the most brilliant, but he has become a fine man who has made us very proud. Sadly he split up with his partner and is now living in a flat in Lancashire. He will be returning to his roots in Southampton as soon as he can sell his flat. Richard is one of two official Cricket Statistician to Sky Sports, a job that entail much travelling up and down the UK in the summer and included the winters Ashes tour to Australia also Sri Lanka and Canada and this winter (2009) to South Africa.

January 21st, 1981 - Rachael Hannah Isaacs was born in Southampton General Hospital, perhaps a surprise because after Richard we had by then given up hope of another child. By then we were living in North Baddesley. Rachael was a beautiful baby, and whilst I was away in the summer with my work, Brenda and her mother took her to baby competitions which she was very successful at. Rachael attended the same school as Richard, Mountbatten at Romsey. Still at 27, living with us in our home in Lancashire. She is a wonderful daughter and a great asset to the family, a jolly girl who has many good friends.

And the latest, August 5th, 2008, Nathan Richard Isaacs was born a beautiful baby to Rachael. Despite the sleepless nights at home till they move, he is a wonderful addition to the family. Now one year old a delightful baby adored by us all and all who meet him.

Rachael and Nathan will be moving into their new home, not very far from us very soon.

April 19th, 2003 - Good Friday at a Worcester hotel. The whole family had gathered there to see Hampshire play the opening match of the 2003 Season, but that day was more poignant for the fact that Richard was travelling in the opposite direction, he was off to Manchester to live with Catherine. There were many tears, as our boy now 30 years old was leaving home. A pivotal day in all our lives. Sadly (see above) they have now parted.

August 11th, 2006 - We moved to our new home in Bury, Lancashire. Sadly Richard and his partner have gone their seperate ways, Really quite sad, but things happen, and I'm sure he will find a lovely lady one day. Meanwhile he is very busy with his new job as Sky Sports Cricket Statistician, his travels take him to all points in the UK, and overseas in the winter months.

September 1st, 2009 - As I write this, we have moved back to Southampton. Health wasent great, ongoing diabetes problems, but hey we are getting old. Went on a cruise to the Carribean which was wondeful. Having returned to Southampton to live, it has made Brenda and Rachael much happier and I am feeling better. The North may have been good for some, but it was wet cold and basically miserable for people who are not used to it.
